Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with Peristeri BC for point guard Álvaro Cárdenas (1.87m, Granada, 04/29/2002, 23 years old) to join the Greek team on loan for the 2025-26 season. The playmaker from Granada signed with our Club a few weeks ago for the next two seasons after standing out as one of the best passers in the NCAA during his time at Boise State University, where he averaged 11.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.

For his first experience in professional basketball after finishing his college career, Valencia Basket has decided to loan Álvaro Cárdenas so he can continue his development and gain experience in high-level European basketball. Peristeri BC, which competed in the Basketball Champions League and reached the Greek League Playoffs last season, provides an ideal environment for his growth. Cárdenas' playmaking ability fits well within a rebuilding project led by Vassilis Xanthopoulos, who has transitioned from the court to become the head coach. In addition to signing the Spanish point guard, the team has renewed its top scorer CJ Harris and brought in center Omar Payne.
